Patients often present with buccal gingival recessions, raising significant concerns when determining the optimal treatment alternative. From the clinical point of view, being able to identify, classify, refer, and manage this type of dental lesions is of paramount importance in our daily practice.

The major question is, when is it appropriate to fill Vs graft. Is to provide delegates with the current restorative and periodontal concepts surrounding the different treatment options of gingival recessions and root cervical lesions, To be able to diagnose and identify in which cases it is indicated to restore or graft a gingival recession or root cervical lesion.

Aims & Objectives:

  • To improve the diagnostic skills of gingival recessions/ root cervical lesions
  • Understand the role of periodontal and dental anatomy on treatment planning.
  • Understand the long-term prognosis of untreated buccal gingival recessions
  • Discussion of various treatments, including restorative and surgical options, for addressing gingival recessions/
  • root cervical lesions.
  • Identification of cases that require multi-disciplinary approaches.
